In December, Sierra Canyon's youngest performers captivated audiences with their enchanting renditions of The Wizard of Oz, brought to life through the Lower School Enrichment Program.
Under the direction of Kelsey Tarantino and Michealeen Christakos, students in Grades 2 through 6 presented two vibrant full-stage productions of the beloved story. Each performance opened with a stunning rendition of Over the Rainbow, performed by the SC Chamber Ensemble under the leadership of Dr. Lauren Deutsch and Ms. Leslie Gonzalez. Additionally, the Enrichment class Showstoppers, featuring Kindergarten and 1st Grade students, delighted the audience with an exceptional performance of songs and dances from the musical. From start to finish, the performances showcased the talent and joy of Sierra Canyon's youngest performers.
This spring, the Lower School will bring another beloved production to life—The Little Mermaid. Students interested in joining the program should contact Garrett Crosby at [email protected] for more information and to sign up.
Sierra Canyon's Arts Program is thoughtfully crafted to develop curiosity, foster self-confidence, and inspire a lifelong appreciation for both the Visual and Performing Arts.
