Sierra Canyon students achieved outstanding results on the National Latin Exam (NLE), with strong performances spanning both the Lower and Upper Campuses—from 6th Grade through AP Latin.
The NLE is an assessment that invites students worldwide to demonstrate their understanding of Latin through grammar, vocabulary, mythology, Roman history, and the continued relevance of Latin today. Trailblazers performed exceptionally well on this year's exam, with 54 Sierra Canyon students recognized for their achievements—18 earning gold and silver medals and 36 receiving certificates of magna cum laude and cum laude. A special congratulations to Danny M. '26, who earned his fifth consecutive gold medal.
The study of World Languages fosters critical thinking, cultural literacy, and a deeper understanding of how diverse cultures and histories continue to shape the modern world. Sierra Canyon's World Languages program empowers students to explore both the language and its rich history, cultivating skills that broaden perspectives and promote lifelong learning.
