Pre-Kindergarten has been celebrating letters in the yummiest ways—by eating their way through the alphabet!

They recently launched their phonics program, starting with the letter "T," which marks the beginning of a year-long learning journey through hands-on and memorable experiences. Our youngest learners explored its sound and practiced writing the upper and lower case letters correctly, following the Fundations Phonics program that continues in our primary grades.

As part of their "Eating through the Alphabet" theme, this week also featured the much-anticipated Pre-K Tea Party! This event marks the beginning of 26 weeks of engaging learning activities centered on a specific letter. Dressed for the occasion, these Trailblazers arrived in an amazing array of adorable outfits, complemented by straw hats, top hats, gloves, pearls, bowties, and purses. After enjoying a delightful story about proper behavior at an "elegant" function, they sat at beautifully decorated tables adorned with flowers, doilies, and their personalized placemats. The students indulged in hot chocolate with marshmallows, lemonade, an assortment of cookies, and, of course, strawberries and cream.

This is another great example of how our teachers bring learning to life by engaging students in creative ways to make learning both joyful and meaningful. With their charming outfits and delightful treats, it's clear that the letter T has never tasted so good, and we can't wait to see what delicious adventures await as they continue their alphabet journey!
