The newly launched global Concordia Youth Board, an initiative designed to incorporate youth perspectives into discussions on issues with the greatest social impact on younger generations, has selected Sienna M. '25 as one of only six young leaders worldwide to contribute her voice.

The overarching goal of the Youth Board program is to work closely with the non-profit's network of global leaders, providing members with unique opportunities to engage with influential figures. After learning about the program, Sienna felt deeply connected to its mission of amplifying youth voices in global conversations. Following several interviews in the selection process, she was thrilled to be selected. "When I found out I had made it, I was over the moon. Being asked to speak in front of global leaders was surreal—it felt like I was stepping into a role I had dreamed of, one where my voice could genuinely be a force for change." During Concordia's Annual Summit in New York, Sienna had the opportunity to meet with influential leaders, including the presidents of Colombia and Guyana, as well as Prince Harry of England. These experiences gave her valuable insight into the profound importance leadership plays in global affairs.

Sienna attributes much of her preparation for this role to her experiences at Sierra Canyon. As the founder of three clubs, including the Jewish Student Union, she has organized meaningful and productive initiatives, such as bringing a Holocaust survivor to speak to Upper School students. Additionally, serving as captain of the Varsity Girls Tennis Team allows her to lead by example and inspire teammates. "At Sierra Canyon, I have seen how impactful a single voice can be when it is trusted and supported, and I am excited to carry that with me as I work to make a difference on an even larger scale," she shared. This supportive environment has instilled her confidence to take on global challenges.

As Sienna embarks on this new journey, she is motivated to apply the skills and values she has honed at the School to her work with Concordia. She encourages students to embrace their individuality and emphasizes that every effort counts, no matter how small. "Believe that you have something special to offer, and let that belief drive you forward."
