Last week, Sierra Canyon's youngest football fans came out to show their spirit at Lower School Football Night.
Sierra Canyon is defined by the relationships formed within and beyond the classroom. While we might have two campuses, we are one united school, and a true demonstration of this was seen last Friday night. Over 1,300 Trailblazers gathered together to celebrate Lower School Football Night and cheer on the SC Football and Cheerleading Teams.
In honor of this beloved Sierra Canyon tradition, students in Pre-Kindergarten through 6th Grade and their families enjoyed festivities that included photos with Blaze, temporary tattoos, bead necklaces, pompoms, Nitropod ice cream, Andy's Game Day Menu, and plenty of SC merch! Lower School student Taura F. '30 kicked the game off with the national anthem. The night would not be complete without a raffle with big prizes, like the Homecoming VIP experience. Lower School students entered their names for a chance to spend the entire Homecoming football game relaxing with friends and family on a couch in the end zone, complete with concierge service and the best view in the house!
The raffle added an extra layer of excitement to the already lively atmosphere as students eagerly awaited the announcement of the lucky winner. This highly coveted prize made the night even more memorable for the 2023 winner, Harper W. '36. Ultimately, the Trailblazers defeated Green Valley with a 56-0 victory, and everyone had a great time!
