This week's 8th Grade Tribute Ceremony marked the beginning of the journey to the Upper School for the Class of 2028.
On Thursday, 8th Grade students gathered in the Upper Campus Gym to celebrate the end of their Middle School journey in the presence of family and friends. During the Ceremony, students were individually recognized on stage with a description of three unique personal qualities chosen by their peers and teachers. This gesture is intended to encourage students to remain true to themselves.
The Ceremony was a bittersweet moment for students and parents as they bid farewell to Middle School and looked forward to new horizons. Student speaker Kate M. celebrated the achievements, challenges, and unique journeys of the Class of 2028. She said, "The only impossible journey is one you never try to embark on," urging them to courageously pursue their passions and create their own paths in life.
The Upper School will provide students with even more opportunities to explore their interests and passions and prepare them for their future academic and career goals. Lindsay Koss, Director of Grades 7-9, offered some words of encouragement, "You have survived 100% of your most difficult days so far, proving that you can do hard things."
Congratulations, Class of 2028! We can't wait to see all that you will accomplish in the years to come.
