Middle School Teams Night and Fall Social Success

As the first semester concludes on the Upper Campus, there was much to celebrate at our Middle School Teams Night and Fall Social.

Kicking off the festivities was a thrilling 7^th versus 8^th Grade Boys Basketball game, setting the stage for a memorable evening. The mood was decidedly spirited as students donned their new Middle School T-shirts, a giveaway provided to all attendees, and engaged in Sierra Canyon trivia throughout the game, led by Middle School Dean Ms. Hernandez, offering a chance to win exciting prizes!

The event celebrated the many accomplishments of our Middle School students who participated in various activities, including Athletics, eSports, Math Team, Speech and Debate, and our literary publication, The Inkslinger. Middle School Athletic Director Alicia Komaki acknowledged each team and student who excelled throughout the semester, emphasizing the dedication and hard work they displayed. Students in attendance also enjoyed pizza and an ice cream treat from the Mister Softee Truck, generously provided by the Parent Association.

Immediately following Middle School Teams Night, 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th Grade students were invited to join one another in the Library for the Middle School Fall Social. This year's theme was Game Night. Students had many activity choices for the evening. They could play video games in the Pub Room, participate in a trivia tournament, or play board games with friends. For some 6^th Grade students, this event marked their first experience on the Upper Campus, adding an extra layer of excitement as they prepare to cross De Soto next year and join the Middle School community.

Congratulations to all our Middle School fall teams for their outstanding achievements! We look forward to hosting 6^th Grade again in January for a student panel focusing on a sneak preview of the Upper Campus academic and social experience.
